Within groups, every member of a group haws their own strengths and weaknesses/ challenges. I have made a list of four elements of group work, with two being my strengths and two being my challenges.
If there was one thing I wanted to see from this project, it would most likely be the original prototype being completed and built upon. I really like the way that it has been initially designed, so I hope to see it be completed in a way that is similar to the first version.
Many parents will be coming to this exhibition to support their children, so there will be lots of feedback from them. I hope to hear them be supportive of what we’ve worked long and hard to make, and I also would like to hear some ideas for improvement. Then there is also the possibility that a sociology professor might come in and look around. Hopefully they can give feedback on what we can do to make our essays/papers better in the future, and possibly symbolism in our masks too.
To present information to an audience, you must not mislead them with incorrect information. To ensure that we do not make this mistake, we can make sure that whenever someone is unsure of a piece of information, we can acquire an explanation from a book or article that can help us immensely.
Over the course of October and what we have of November so far, we have been working on many topics related to socialization. During this period, we have learned of many different ways people have been socialized, subtly or otherwise. We have also gained knowledge on the ways that a human being receives cultural messages, and what happens to a person when they do not receive said messages.
We are also creating an exhibition event to show what we’ve learned from the past month and a half. I am personally excited to create the exhibition itself. From what it looks like, we are making a sort of maze, and this looks like it will be a very interesting process. I am excited for this because I am interested to see how it turns out, and hopefully help in any way I can.
It seems this maze will most likely require some assembly, and that is what I am enthused for. Hopefully I can help with construction of anything necessary that is within my ability.
Over the last two weeks, we have been working in groups. Reflecting back on this, it seems that I was slightly disconnected from my partners, as I was gone for a day in the planning stage. I feel that in order to do good work with my new group, I need to keep good attendance and pay attention to the others.
